Ride Of Silence, an annual, worldwide event that hopes to spread awareness about safety for bicyclists on our roadways as well as honor those killed or injured while riding a bicycle. Cyclists will take to the road in a silent procession in honor of the fallen. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. The ride, which will have 100 — 200 cyclists participating, is hoped to draw attention to bicycle safety. The route will take us down Crandon Boulevard and back twice for a total of 12 miles at 12mph. The ride is free of charge and open to the public. Police escort will be provided for participants.
The safety for ourselves, our friends and our loved ones cannot be compromised. We hope that you will join us. We appreciate your presence and your support for this good cause.
