Join us for The Tribe's monthly volunteering initiative, Repairing the World, where we'll be engaging with the residents of the Children's Home Society (infant — 12). Please pre-register at bit.ly/thetribeisrepairingtheworld
The volunteer experience will be framed through a Jewish lens. This month's edition will be under the umbrella of Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM). Our guest speaker will be Natalie Davis, Executive Director of The Social Cog, a non-profit 501©3 organization created to address a previously unmet need for independently functioning adults with developmental and learning disabilities. The Social Cog creates connections and community for the participants.
Feel free to bring a game, activity, or sports equipment (no small parts please). However, your presence is presents enough.
Snacks for the children are also welcome, however we encourage you to bring a healthy one.
Please show up 10 minutes early if you have not filled out your volunteer paperwork forms yet. This is State mandated. Additionally, you must bring your ID or you will not be allowed to volunteer with the children. Thanks for your cooperation.
