Frost Science is celebrating American Heart Month with a special day dedicated to learning about one of the body’s most essential organs: the heart. Join us on Sunday, February 18, for “I Heart Frost Science,” as you get to explore the center of our circulatory system through a series of special activities and programming.

The day’s heart-racing action includes:
Heart Saver: CPR Demo Presented by Baptist Health South Florida
11:15 a.m., MeLaβ, Baptist Health South Florida Gallery (Level 1)
Get your heart pumping with a hands-on introduction to this life-saving technique.

I Heart Frost Science Photo Booth

Get your picture taken with friends and family!

A Wrinkle in Time Programming

In anticipation of Disney’s mind-bending adventure A WRINKLE IN TIME, in theatres March 9, participate in mind-bending brain teasers to receive exclusive prizes from the film.

A Bird's-Eye View

Learn how a bird's heart enables it to soar to the highest peaks and lowest sweeps.

Hungry, Hungry Crocodile

Watch our crocodile eat her lunch while learning how crocodilian hearts evolved to allow the species to stay underwater without breathing.

Squid Dissection Demo

Investigate the fascinating anatomy of a cephalopod—inside and out.

A Tentacle Spectacle

Learn why some cephalopods, including our red octopuses, have three hearts.

Break out your best moves on our interactive dance floor as you learn how to keep your heart healthy and strong.

Meet the Invertebrates
2:00 p.m., Dive Bar, Aquarium Dive (Level 3)
What makes a horseshoe crab’s blood the color blue? Where is a sea star’s heart? Explore the circulatory systems of invertebrates—some with (and without) hearts.

Programming support provided by Baptist Health South Florida.

Normal admission rates apply. “I Heart Frost Science” programming is free with paid museum admission.
