The Moth – Miami StorySLAM.
This month's theme is: LOVE HURTS
Prepare a five-minute tale about a love that made you go OUCH. The agony of deferred love! The misery of good love, gone bad! The anguish of one-way love! Bring stories of your heart, kicked to the curb by the people or places or things you love...or used to love. Love that «Hurts So Good» also welcome.
Tickets are $10 and available one week in advance. Doors open at 6pm – StorySLAM begins at 7pm. Cocktails available at the bar. Guided tour of the historic Olympia Theater during intermission.
Want to participate in a StorySLAM? Sign up to tell a story, volunteer to be on a judging team or just sit back and listen. Details at: goo.gl/zAWmCF
Our Host – Gabriela Fernandez:
Gabriela Fernandez is half Venezuelan, half Spanish, but a Miamian at heart. She studied theater in Madrid, in one of the cities’ most important schools: Laboratorio de Teatro William Layton. Once graduated, migrated to Miami out of love. She is the proud founder, director and producer of the Front Yard Theatre Collective and works full time at the Olympia Theater.
