This event highlights the richness and diversity of the Hispanic culture. Living in a city as culturally diverse as Miami, we must embrace what unites us as members of the Hispanic community.
The celebration of this event is part of the history of our school. Since its foundation in Cuba, Belen has always been proud to promote the contributions of Hispanics to the community. At Belen Jesuit, we encourage our students to deepen their appreciation for those men and women from Spanish speaking countries who have made valuable contributions to society in many areas such as science, business, education, and literature among others.
The Fiesta de la Hispanidad is the perfect occasion for our students to learn more about the traditions of their cultural heritage. Our teachers and students work very hard in preparation for the celebration of the Fiesta de la Hispanidad. We will have booths showcasing the most important facts of each Spanish speaking country, along with traditional food. This event wouldn’t be complete without the festive touch of the piñatas, banners and other special projects made by the students enrolled in the Spanish classes.
