True Colors, featuring over 120 works, expresses the theme of being true to yourself, and respectful of those that present a different side of the spectrum. More than 60 local artists make bold statements, dispel misconceptions and let the true colors of their work--and our multi-dimensional society--shine through. Featured in the show is ArtServe artist-in-residence Lori Pratico; curator Jorge Vasquez states «Lori's strong message of empowerment towards women fits perfectly within the exhibit's theme.»
The opening reception for True Colors will feature entertainment from Jim Hammond's Florida DAY of the DEAD, food, music, and an Online People's Choice award. Join us in exploration of the nature of identity and diversity along all spectrums, including thematic works on LGBTQ issues, First Amendment rights, race and ethnicity, women's rights, and more!
The night also includes a reception for Jennifer Haley Contemporary Abstract Artist's current solo show of lively and immersive resin works in our BankUnited Gallery.
