The “Twelve Summers” and “Capturing Brazzdance” Exhibit Evening will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Deering Estate.
«Twelve Summers» features GroveHouse Artists’ paintings and watercolors from their 12th season of collaboration with the Deering Estate and includes works from the January Affair en Plein Air juried painting event. In «Capturing Brazzdance,» photographer Carlos Di Roberto Martinez documents the choreographic and performative works from Augusto Soledade's Brazzdance 2016–2017 season. This initiative invites photographers and visual artists to capture the company's work beyond the fleeting moment of performance. Exhibit evenings are free and open to the public. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
The exhibit will be on display daily, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from July 15 through September 27, and is free with Estate admission.
Augusto Soledade Brazzdance
Augusto Soledade Brazzdance, a Miami dance company featuring an Afro-Fusion style, see their role as seekers of innovative projects that create fresh content and outlook on global life, consider various cultures, and are a vessel for relevant contemporary dance repertory. Augusto Soledade believes that the diverse make up of the company is an essential element in the definition and expansion of his acclaimed Afro-Fusion style, and will further enhance the notion that his works move from the culturally rooted to the universally scoped.
