The Future of Education: COLLEGIATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PANEL is the fourth event in a series of monthly educational panels and debates at CIC Miami dedicated to investigating the topic of education from various perspectives.
The idea of social responsibility has become a very hot topic over the years, spurring an international dialogue on what responsibilities entities have to society-at-large. Corporate social responsibility has dominated the discourse, asking, «What do corporations owe to the communities that they serve?»
In the same token, the question of social responsibility with respect to institutions of higher education is also critical to investigate, as colleges and universities are often at the epicenter of a community's development. This panel on collegiate social responsibility will ask what collegiate social responsibility efforts have looked like in the past, what they look like in the present, and what they should look like in the future.
