ABOUT OUR CLASSES:
* VINYASA can be translated as «to place in a special way» therefore sequencing is given priority in these classes, with a focus on linking conscious breath and mindful flowing movement. Sequences are often structured around sun salutations while weaving in various poses and breathing exercises. This class aims to increase strength, balance, flexibility and alignment while building purifying internal heat. So, come prepared to sweat!
** HATHA is a slower paced class then Vinyasa. It is great for beginners as you will get a gentle introduction to the basic yoga postures and breathing exercises. You probably won't work up a sweat you will end up leaving class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.
*** MEDITATION is not a spontaneous realization. It is more like writing or doing math: it requires practice, patience and perseverance. This class invites you to sit, meditate and talk about your experiences and what you can learn from the situations and emotions that arise. A wandering mind is an unhappy mind, learn how to watch your thoughts and improve the quality of your life.
**** POWER VINYASA is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to Vinyasa-style yoga. This class will include a lot of vinyasas, and longer holds of poses with emphasis on strength and flexibility, this class is great if you are looking for a work out. Sweat level: HIGH!!!
***** VINYASA360 is a Vinyasa-style class that takes a unique turn by using two crossed yoga mats. Using 2 mats instead of 1 allows for a greater freedom of movement, now students are no longer limited to linear front and back movements and are able to explore new creative transitions while turning in multi-directional space. This class format invites a refined sense of awareness since the student needs to be alert and present at all times. *This class is intended to be practiced on 2 crossed mats. Students must bring 2 mats or rent a second mat for $5.
****** AERIAL, in this class you will be guided through a Aerial Vinyasa sequence using an aerial yoga hammocks as a prop.Whether you are new to flying yoga (or yoga in general) or a frequent flier you will get your feet off the floor and experience the many benefits of suspension, inversions and deep floating relaxation. The development of increased mind-body awareness, alignment and stability through holding challenging yoga poses longer (10-20 breaths) are emphasized in this class.
